Sometimes, Facebook is a really magical thing.
As much as I have talked about wanting to disconnect and unplug in the past, I am always grateful for the ability to stay in touch with friends and family. For the past few years, I have been watching in the internet shadows as one of my friends from high school became one of my favorite bloggers.
Kristin, the author of Hello Lovely!, is one of those people who is naturally good at everything. She blogs about faith, recipes, lifestyle, and my favorite, “Thankful Thursday”.
At first look, #thankfulthursday might sound cliché, or worse, basic. What I love about Hello Lovely! is the depth of her Thankful Thursday and Insta Friday posts. What had the potential to just another social media plug-in has been made into a unique opportunity to truly give thanks.
I have to be honest. I don’t want to write a Thankful Thursday post this week. But that’s the whole point of creating a habit. You do it whether you feel like it or not. Because it’s worth it.
So today, on the very last day of 2015 (WHAT?!?), I am thankful for . . .the ability to start again each daynot having to have life figured outgood conversationsTrutha jobcomfort fooda place and time to exercisemy catcomfy pillows and blanketssmartphonesmusicrain
